Phobias

A phobia is being scared of something that isn't meant to be scary or doesn't harm you.

A fear is being scared of something that is actually scary or something that can harm you.

I have the fear of insects which is called Entomophobia. Meanwhile being scared of only spiders is called Arachnophobia.

There are also quite weird phobias like Russophobia which is the fear of Russians, and Allodoxaphobia which is the fear of opinions and it is quite rare.

Mog's Christmas Disaster.

"Ahh" Mog screamed as he was stumbling on the pots and pans, *sniff* "I smell smoke!". Mog ran over to the table, and jumped up onto it not noticing that he was pulling everything off it. The coffee beans that were heating on the stove started shooting at Mog, "They are coming after me!" I was all a blur for mog. "I need to get out of here!" he says as he walks over the phone pushing "999", the oven pops open and the smoke leaks out of it. "*Huff* *Puff*" as he was catching his breath outside. And right as he went outside, fire fighters came. Mog was feeling better now that they came. But the family was sad that they Christmas was ruined for them, but after the whole neighbourhood heard the news they all came over to their house and helped clean. And they all had Christmas together.

Christmas Blog Post

Dear Journal,

Tonight was very tiring because I and all the other reindeers didn't get anything to eat, and we had to carry Santa all night. He is very heavy because of all the food he eats.

Everyone was so hungry and it made it worse looking at Santa eating what the people left for him. I and the other reindeer could not go any further because we were too tired and that convinced Santa to buy us some carrot treats at McDonald's.

Swimming/Summer

5 tips to keep safe in the water.

1. Make sure to always put on sunblock.

2. Follow the pool rules.

3. Wear the right togs.

4. Don't swim too far in the ocean.

5. Swim in areas where you are able to breathe easily.

I like pools rather than the beach because I don't like salty water.

What is your best swimming/summer memory?

I don't have one.

What if.

If kids had tails?

Maybe the tails could sense things or maybe it would just act as an extra limb.

If leaves were fish.

Then it would smell bad everywhere if they rot. Also, you wouldn't need to go fishing.

If toes were teeth.

Then it would be hard to brush your teeth and you would have a hard time eating.

Favourite dish

My favourite breakfast dish is probably Eggs Benedict.

Eggs Benedict is a breakfast dish originated in New York, it has poached eggs on top of buttered English Muffins, with crispy bacon in the middle and is topped off with Hollandaise sauce which is a creamy sauce which consists of melted butter, egg yolks, and vinegar and is especially served with fish. The reason I like this dish is because my mum makes them and in my opinion they are the best ≧◡≦.





My favourite lunch dish would probably be a simple beef burger.
The beef burger would have a mince patty, lettuce, red onion, tomato, cheese and bacon.
I like the beef burger because i'm used to my mums Korean style cooking, and because its different to Korean dishes, so I like it.








My favourite dinner is definitely "삼겹살" which is a South Korean pork "gui" which is a grilled dish.
Korean people eat 삼겹살 in a wrap of lettuce with a Korean dipping sauce called "쌈장", but it can be eaten alone. I like this dish because I am South Korean and we only eat this on some occasions, and I feel like I am in Korea when I eat it (｡◕‿◕｡).

Christmas Shopping

Prize Giving Cancelled.

I think that not having Prize Giving is a negative decision because the students won't have much of a goal to work towards, and I think the parents of the students would be able to see how good they are doing. I think parents will also feel that the school is teaching their students right.

There are some minor positives, like students saying that Prize Giving is boring, and also sort of agree with what they said about them not wanting to rank and sort students. I think that would lead to some kind of argument or hatred towards other kids because someone got an award and they didn't.

In conclusion, I think that Prize Giving is a fantastic time for the school to gather and be happy for one another for their achievements.

Athletics Reflection

Athletics day was on Monday, I was really nervous the whole day but I still tried my hardest. Probably the hardest part of the day was the 800m run because I'm not very good at long distance running.

The most exciting part was probably when I and Dylan were in the same race in the 100m sprint, I was also very excited for Charlie when he was doing his High Jump.

I was resilient in the 800m run because I was going to give up after the first lap but I didn't give up.

I hope I do just as well or better in HP.

I would like to be a Private Teacher because I think teaching would be fun, and would not be as busy a full classroom.

The History of eSports

eSports (also known as electronic sports) are playing video games at a more competitive level, the most common games that are played are League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, Hearthstone, Overwatch, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite Battle Royale, and StarCraft II.

Tournaments such as the League of Legends World Championships and Dota 2's The International have live broadcasts of the competition and large prize money. The two most popular games right now are the League of Legends and Fortnite, League of legends is a MOBA game (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), and Fortnite is a Battle Royale.

The earliest eSport tournament was held in 1972 at Stanford University for the game Spacewar, the Stanford students were invited to what they called an "Intergalactic Spacewar Olympics",  with the grand prize being a magazine membership.

In around 1990 a lot of games benefited from better internet connectivity (mostly computer games). And also many other games were being played competitively in tournaments.

With the popularity of eSports in South Korea, people made lots of Internet Cafes/LAN gaming centre, known as a PC Bang.

eSports have changed very fast throughout the years, so it is hard to tell how eSports will change now.
