Plus Minus Intresting

Plus - I have improved quite a lot on my long distance running for athletics.
Minus - I had trouble running on Tuesday because of my sore legs.
Interesting - I learned that a banana 'tree' is actually not a tree but a bush.

Sparking Curiosity

For the animal I chose the Cheetah, I chose the Cheetah because I wonder if humans can ever run as fast as cheetahs and why cheetahs are much faster than other animals.

Labour Weekend

I predict my labour weekend is going to be really fun because I will be going to Armageddon Expo which is a gaming/technology expedition, and I think it will also help me with my inquiry which is based on Coding and Programming.

I also think that it will be exciting because I will meet my childhood friend Christopher, he is also South Korean. (I first met him when I was year 2)

This weekend I will be focusing on my health, like eating healthy or taking extra care of myself because of athletics day coming up. I will also run around the town to practice my long distance running.

Weekly Reflection

This week I was tired because of all the athletics training and also because I was used to the resting and relaxing from the holidays.

We are training for athletics which is in week 4. I am slowly improving at long distance running, sprints on the other hand I am having trouble with due to the fact that my legs are really sore because of all the sports and physical activities going on now.

The new Chapter Chat book is called "A monster calls" it is about a kid named Connor, he lives with his mum and one night he had a nightmare about a tree monster. It is an interesting book which is pretty different to the books we have read so far for our Chapter Chat.

This week was a mixture of different things I hope next week will be just as good if not, better.

3 Learning Powers/ICARE Words

Connecting - My mum spoke English to the members of the church despite English not being her first language.

Resilience - My dad had trouble with fixing the internet but he didn't give up and he fixed it.

Curiosity - When me and my Mum were stuck in traffic in Auckland, and we were curious of what had happened. (it was a car crash)

Wish/Goal for this term.

My Wish/Goal for this term is to win the best basketball player award in the school at prize giving.

Learning Spaces

We have different learning spaces for different types of learning such as, independent learning in the TMO room and collaborative learning in the Clubroom.

I think learning spaces are important because it might be easier to concentrate in some places more than others. For example, if you are reading a book independently you might want to be in a quiet place, such as the TMO room and if you are having a collaborative meeting you might want to be in the Clubrooms, the Stadium or the Corporate box.
