Weekly Reflection

This week I have enjoyed swimming and playing Kiorahi too, this week was really fun.

This week at swimming we did widths instead of lengths I used resilience when I was swimming and Connecting in Kiorahi.

I also showed Curiosity when I wondered what will really happen when we die...

Next week my goal is to finish my Mangahigh

Weekly Reflection

This week was fun because we had swimming but I didn't swim on Thursday because I didn't want to but it looked really fun.

If I could change something that happened this week it would be who I sat next to, I didn't get the most amount of work done.

Next week I would like to complete my Mangahigh tasks.

Man mistakes a Courgette for a bomb xD

An 81-year-old German resident has been left embarrassed after what he thought was an unexploded WWII was actually a large courgette.

The man called the police to his house but when the police saw the "bomb" they realised it was only a large courgette.

The man was surprised and embarrassed, the officers said that it really did look like a bomb though.

The man did not grow courgettes. So the officers think that its just some people that threw it over his fence.

Weekly Reflection

This week we had athletics day I had fun because NPS athletics day has more activities than my old school one.

My highlight of the week was when I beat Valentino in a 100 M sprint.

I made a good choice when sat by myself and finished all my read theory tasks and didn't have to go in at morning tea to do my 2 tasks.

Next week my goal is to finish my percentage manga high tasks.

Trampoline

Whenever I go to Valentino's house I go on his trampoline and he teaches me tricks like the front flip, he taught me how to do a front flip and now I can land it most of the time. ON the other hand Valentino can land front flips all the time and back flips all the time, my goal for the end of the year is to land a back flip.

My pet snake for pet day

Today we made pets for pet day and we could choose it to be online or offline, I chose offline because I wanted to make it with play dough, so I made a snake his name is cucumber because he looks like a cucumber and also is green.

He is poisonous when he bites but he won't bite often because he is very friendly but if you annoy him he will bite, my friends made a worm and a dog.

It was very fun making pets and animals.

Weekly reflection late

This week I really enjoyed volleyball because we played 2 games and won all of them.

I also had fun at lunch after volleyball because we played soccer, I need to practice on my soccer skills because I haven't played soccer in a long time 

Birthday

This Saturday I had my early birthday party with my family, I ate at Valentines and got a Drone and Jordan shoes

I liked the pizza the best then the chicken, my favorite dessert was the marshmallow and chocolate 

Weekly reflection 15/9/17

This week was Maori language week and I learned a lot of Maori words and sentences, I learned to count to 5 and say hello.

I need to practice my Spanish words and getting my tasks strengthened, I also need to get my postcard words on my actual postcard.

I had fun doing Volleyball at the college and playing handball at school, I need to improve on hitting the ball over at Volleyball and skimming on handball.

Weekly Reflection 8/9/17

This week I wondered about aliens because that is for my IE and want to know if they are real or know what they eat.

I have enjoyed reading Extra time on Thursday, Extra time is a book about a Australian kid that plays soccer, I have also read with Moana Nui kids on Wednesday and I used the learning powers Creativity and Connecting.

This week I didn't enjoy PE because we couldn't do PE outside, instead we went inside the Event centre and played a game there.

I need to improve on my Spanish because I have been getting a lot wrong.

Next week my goal is to get 30% Spanish fluency on Duolingo

Weekly reflection

This week I enjoyed cross country because I made it in to Hauraki Plains cross country just barely.

I did most of my Mangahigh tasks and did a lot of duo lingo to get my post card done I have also finished my Word of the Week.

Next week I want to get all of my manga high tasks and finish my post card.

And today we all watched a drama performance from HPC,
They were so funny.

Handball

During morning tea and lunch times I usually play a game called Handball (I found out how to play this game this month). To play handball you need a bouncy ball and a crack or a line in the FLAT ground and the rules are the king chooses who serves the ball (when serving and hitting you need to have the ball bounce on your square ONCE then hit the opponents square) and then the opponent hits it then the king hits it and so on, there are techniques like skimming, high bounce, 360 and through the legs and you could put some of them together to make something like a 360 through the legs skim but if the ball goes too far and passes the outline your are out.

Weekly Reflection 11/8/17 (Late)

This week I have got a silver on a manga high task that I was struggling on and I have recharged most of my duolingo tasks.

I have been going to workshops on time lately, I need to look at my mi plan more and remember to go to that workshop on time and I think I will keep on going on time.


I need to remember to do more blog posts and weekly reflections every week.
This week I made a bad choice when I came very late to class after morning tea.

I really enjoyed P.E this week because we ran a running course and we played Jet Ball. It was practice for the Cross Country.

My goal for next week is to finish my Weekly reflection early

Football

On Saturday we are going to play against Te Rerenga. We have played against them before and they are really good.

Last time we played we didn't do too good because they were very fast and we were tired.

Hopefully we win this time.

Soccer 31/7/17

On Saturday we played against Mercury bay they were pretty good but their defence was weak.

We did pretty good against them I got one goal and I did some good skills.

Our defence and goalkeeper saved a lot of goals so the goalkeeper and Callum got player of the day.

I'm not sure if this was our last game but if we have another game I hope we will win

Soccer

On Saturday we are going to play soccer against the Mercury Bay team, we are playing here in Ngatea though.

My parents and Raiden's parents are doing the cooking.

I hope we win this time because I think this is our last game and hopefully they aren't as fast as the Te Rerenga team.

My goal is to score at least one goal in the game.

Te rerenga vs Hauraki

On Saturday we played in Te rerenga and we did not do that good because they were too fast, we lost to them on both games.

Some of them are going to college so some of them were really tall. This game we scored no goals because the their attacking broke through our defence and their defence broke through our attack.

There was one person from the other team that was really fast and short and no one could catch up to him so we had a massive disadvantage because we don't have a short and quick player.

Weekly Reflection 23/6/17

This week it rained a lot which means I couldn't go to soccer training or do any sport.

I have been practising on my Duolingo, going back from the start and starting again to remember the words I have learned.

This week I have been putting my name up on the I am here board
a lot unlike last week and I have been coming to school early.

Next week my goal is to wake up earlier and to come to school earlier.

Hauraki Panthers vs Whenuakite Whenuakiwis

On Saturday we played against Whenuakite's team, it took a while to get there but it was worth it because our coach switch my position to striker and I had 3 shots at goal but missed them all.

We had a good game even though we lost we all had fun and I got player of the day.

Next game we are versing Thames Taniwhas hopefully we win.

Weekly Reflection 15/6/17

This week I had a lot of fun because I finished my Matariki stars, my 3 word of the week sentences and played fun games.

I've learned a lot of new words on my Duolingo and I got up to level 6 on Spanish, I have learned a lot on Manga high too like Pie charts and adding and subtraction decimals.

Today I had to play the trumpet with the Kerepehi Brass Band for a funeral so I came out of school for a little bit

I made a bad choice when I came late to class after lunch because I wanted to have one more shot in soccer.

My goal for next week is to come to class when everyone else is going back or bringing a watch to school.

Word of the week

The Seven Stars of Matariki shined above all the other stars

After the hail my garden was a catastrophe

The waves at the beach were spectacular

After the game the score was excruciating

I never plan anything because I am extremely spontaneous 

His bedroom was preposterous.

I was so optimistic about the party.

Panthers vs Pythons

On Thursday both our football teams played against each other.

They are now 1st on the board and we are 8th place with 9 teams playing.

Their team was too good for us and they won 2/0 on the 1st game 

and 4/1 on the 2nd, Raiden scored our 2nd goal for us because they changed the positions a bit

Hopefully we win our next game against Whenuakiti.

Weekly reflection

This week I enjoyed art because I finally got to start my Matariki stars.

I learned a lot of Spanish after writing all the words down on a doc now I most of the basic words.

I didn't make a good choice of where I sat this week because I mostly sat with all my friends.

My goal for next week is to not sit next to my friends and finish the rest of my Matariki stars.

Hauraki Panthers score their first goal

Last Thursday our Football team went to Paeroa to play against their team.

We had some people from the A team to help us because we didn't have enough players, we had Charlie, Ryan and Logan.

We did well because Paeroa is 1st on the leader board just in front of our A team, our scores were 0/2 on our 1st game and 1/1 on our 2nd game.

Charlie scored our first goal this season we were all excited.

Worlds first RoboCop

The worlds first RoboCop has been created in Dubai.

The RoboCop can read facial expressions and has a touch screen
which members of the public can use to report crimes and pay fines.

The RoboCop is Multi Lingual meaning it can chat in Arabic and English, but the creator are planning to teach them Chinese, French and Spanish too.

These robots have battery life up too 8 hours and they are around 165 cm tall.

Dubai is planning to make quarter of the police force robots in 2030 and they are planning to make a police station manned entirely from robots.

Worlds most expensive taco

Grand Velas Los Cabos resort in Mexico has made the worlds most expensive taco.

But there hasn't been a customer to buy one yet cause of its price

The taco was thought up by chef Juan Licerio and he says he likes to think outside the box

People are excited and a little surprised about how you can eat a taco for 479,000 peso's when you can find a taco for 10 peso's

The taco stars with a corn tortilla that is speckled with 24 carrot gold flakes, it is filled with pricey Kobe Beef, shrimp, black truffle Brie cheese, and Almas Beluga caviar

After finishing my IE research, I have learned a lot of things about clouds. I had a lot of help from my friends and teachers with the materials and painting. I learned all the 10 types of clouds and what clothing you need for them and I learned that an average cloud has 1.74 million gallons of water
and weighs 1.1 million pounds

Boy gets his arm stuck in a vending machine

A 4 year old from Australia had him arm stuck in a vending machine for 6 hours!

He was on holiday with his family in Melbourne when he saw a vending machine for the first time.

When he was reaching for his pack of biscuits his arm got stuck because of the anti theft mechanism.

So emergency services were called and they had to cut the vending machine to let him free.

Later he was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital,
I hope he got his pack of biscuits.

Valentino's New House

On Monday I visited Valentino's new house because he moved.

At his house we played on his trampoline, he is so good at flips because he flipped while he was blindfolded.

After a little bit we thought it was kind of boring so we decided to play dizzy penalties, we both had 6 tries and I got so dizzy that I thought I would pass out.

I fell over 4 times out of the 6 but missed all my shots

Shoe-Shi

If you like basketball and sushi, you'd be happy to know that there is a chef in Italy who was combined 2 of the things he likes by making sushi Air Jordan 1's.

Yujia Hu, a Chinese artist working in a sushi restaurant began shaping a mixture of rice and vinegar into shoes then detailing them with seaweed and raw fish

He has made all different types of shoes from Nike, Adidas and Supreme

That has definitely taken "playing with you're food" to a whole new level 

Glass Bottom Swimming pool 150m high

You can actually swim in a glass pool that is 150m high from the busy road underneath, if you are scared of heights I would suggest you not to go up that high for a swim.

The pool is located on the 42nd floor at the Market Square Tower, Houston, it is called the Sky Pool.

The pool is 3 metres over the edge of the building, if you want a swim 150 metres up in the sky and have a cool studio apartment it will cost you $2660 a week! Even if I had $2660 I would never ever go that high for a swim.

Alien Vinegar

29 year old Eleri Adkins was eating Fish and Chips with her two children and she claims that she found an alien in a bottle of vinegar.

When she was eating dinner she said she saw an alien like jelly inside the bottle. She was scared because her children had already eaten some of the vinegar and she immediately returned it back to the store she bought it at.

She says the strange thing looked big and like a head! The employees at the store were horrified, no one knew what was in the vinegar but she got a refund and some flowers.

What's Inside an Atom?

An Atom is the smallest part of an element that can exist on its own
In other words, if you have a bar of solid gold, the smallest particle that could exist by itself and still be considered gold would be one atom of gold. Atoms have 3 parts Protons, Neurons and Electrons, Neurons and Protons make up the dense centre of an Atom Called "Nucleus". Atoms can only be seen with a powerful electron microscope. Valentino's House

When I get bored I go to Valentino's house to play on the trampoline or go swimming, It's always fun when I go to his house I am actually his neighbour so I can walk. We usually go on the tramp he always bounces me really high and I make the weirdest sounds. He sometimes comes to my house and we play on my computer, Valentino is a great friend.

Swimming Sports

On Monday, 6 March we had a Swimming Sport, We were all trying to get 1st place for our school,
We all had lot of fun, We all a school Swimming Sports and if you did well you get picked for the Champions. I was very tired so I got to go home early. At 3 o Clock me and Valentino went to the pool so we can work on our strokes.Swimming Sports was really fun
